N9 vs. Galaxy Nexus?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone has an opinion on Nokia N9 [MeeGo] versus Samsung Galaxy Nexus [Android]? I'm thinking I should get my first "smart phone" and have pretty much narrowed it down to one of those two.

Android has the advantage of not being a dead platform, but MeeGo has the advantage of using .deb, Qt, generally more similar to desktop Linux. I have this seductive yet probably futile idea that I could use the same tools and libraries to develop desktop apps and mobile apps for N9.
