Happy New Year from Shanghai!
By the way it seems that TLLTS website is not banned anymore in China!
I still can't reach any blogs without using TOR or Gladder which is a plugin for Firefox (Gladder = Ladder over the Great Firewall of China). Another site I can't download from is Sourcetrunk I have to use TOR and it will download but very slowly!
Anyway Happy 2008!!!

In shanghai, do they speak catonese or mandarin? What are the favorite foods over there?

They speak Mandarin and they have their own Shanghainese as well. I don't really like the Shanghai food (It's quite oily and lacks spices) that much but I do eat the free Chinese lunch at work which is barely eatable but I'm to lazy to bring my own every day. My workplace is 45 min bus ride (provided by the company) outside shanghai and there are not any choices out there.
They have a lot of good restaurants where I live (Gubei) so I can eat pretty much anything I want. I eat a lot of Korean Food because my wife is Korean. There are a lot of Koreans in Shanghai so the restaurants are top notch.
