Darius Davila was born on Tuesday, May 8th at 7:52 PM. Mom and baby are both doing well. My wife was complaining of "gas" pains at dinner. After dinner she tried taking a nap and her water broke. She started havng contractions 3-4 minutes apart. Nothing was packed since she was scheduled for a C-section next Thursday. I quickly got her and my son in the car and spend to the hospital at 80 mph. In the car her contractions quickened to 2-3 mintues apart. When we got to the hospital she was fully dilated and wound up giving "natural" birth 1 hour later. No time for pain killers. Gotta run everyone. I'll try to call in tommorow night for the interview with Paul Davis.

This is truly wonderful news. I'm assuming that mom and baby are doing wonderfully. I'm also thankful you got to the hospital in time. None of us would have wanted to hear a story about Pat having to deliver his son in the car on the side of the freeway. Take care of your precious family, Pat. Don't worry about calling into the show, family first this week!!!Patrick wrote:Darius Davila was born on Tuesday, May 8th at 7:52 PM. Mom and baby are both doing well. Congrats Pat!!! My wife had exactly the opposite experience twice - 50 hour labors, 1 c section, and one very long session of pushing.

Bah, the pain is just a conspiracy that the women folk have used through the ages to gain pity and compassion from the men. The 'painkillers' are just a bonus of that devious plan.Vogateer wrote:Congratulations, I'm impressed that your wife did it without painkillers, too. I'm too big a wuss to handle that kind of pain.
Pat, I hope you made it through watching the birth ok!
Congrats to Ms Pat for the hard work!
