What ubuntu means in Malaysia or Bahasa Melayu

Post by platypus_low » Thu Oct 05, 2006 9:53 pm

As linc was wondering in one of the shows what ubuntu really means ... so let me give a fast on on it's meaning in Bahasa Melayu which is the national language of my humble abode Malaysia :

u = you buntu = at wits end

However when u add buntu+t = buntut = ass or butt

So essentially ubuntu in Malaysia either means your are at your wit's end or you are your ass.

So linc you were quite right when you cautioned that the name ubuntu has got something to do with the ass or something.. Here's hoping that the next flavour of ubuntu will not be called
