Love the podcast, lots of great info. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Popcorn hour and possibly any other extender type boxes. Something like the MediaMVP that supports HD would be great. Any chance of getting this as an MP3?

Glad to hear you're enjoying it. I have a Popcorn Hour and a MediaMVP and will do an episode on media extenders in the future.

Any chance of getting this as an MP3?

Nope. Most audio management software (Rhythembox, Amarok, Banshee) will automatically convert oggs to mp3s if you're media player is managed through them.

Fantastic podcast, guys!
I've been running a mythbox for around a year and it's great to hear from people who are in the same (awesome) boat as me.

You mentioned the names of some quite power supplies to go with those new egg builds in the cast but I can't remember them, could you post a link?

Also, the audio quality on the second show was not up to the standards of the first, but I'm sure these are just growing pains.

A bad patch cable reared it's ugly head around the 50th minute on Dan's channel. I've replaced it and we should be good next time around.

I ordered the "Economy" list, now my journey to MythTV begins! I've wanted to build a myth-box for sometime now but never wanted to take the leap alone. Your show has been acting as a MythTV support group. Thanks guys!
I have a series 2 Tivo and have been very happy with it, but I know there is so much more that can be done with a myth setup.

I'll keep you posted on the progress as I get the new hardware. Thanks for the show, I don't think I would have tried this without the shows encouragement.

I am plodding through the episodes, hoping to glean the information I need to setup a mythtv box.

I noticed that one of the links given in this episode was incorrect. The mysettopbox link should be mysettopbox.tv (in the episode it was stated as mysettopbox.com) Linhes.org gets one there anyway, but I thought I would point that out.

I have only listed to episode 0 and 1 but I am looking forward to listening to the others!
