Just a comment. You can get hi-def OTA broadcast with just a plain ol' set of rabbit ears. $10 from wal-mart. I have seen hi-def displays at my local box retailer with paperclips in them getting a hi-def signal!
Now, obviously this depends on how good the signal is in your area. But it is possible.
