You sure it was Eric you talked to? I don't remember him being there. I went over to the rPath table and chatted with them.

OK, that's not the same guy (unless he's had some serious stuff done to his hair lately). The guy I talked to sounded almost exactly the same, though. Whoever he was, he really knew a lot of stuff.

OMG!!!1!!

I'd love to talk to Seth! I thought he lived in Indiana, though. I have a YUM hat (YUM is also a fishing bait manufacturer), and I've been meaning to take a picture of me wearing it and send it to him.

My current distro breakdown:
Kubuntu - AMD64 workstation (main machine)
Debian - my blog server
OpenSuse - my POS Walmart laptop (used for work)

Bootables:
Kanotix
Knoppix
Damn Small

My test box currently has Fedora Core 6 on it but will change as I test other distros.

I'm a Kubuntu 6.06 nut at the moment on my Z60m. This is my primary computer.

My MythTV box hasn't been finalized yet, as I've not yet been able to successfully use Fedora, (k/x)ubuntu, Gentoo, Slackware, etc... on it. Once I figure out the issues, I'm hoping it'll be something Debian based (but I'm open to whatever works).

My fileserver is Debian, and the wife's computer isn't Linux (or Mac) yet.

I tried it once when I installed Kubuntu, but I didn't have success. Honestly, playing DVDs on the notebook isn't important to me. I've got a DVD player for each TV in the house, and if I'm travelling anywhere, it's not to watch DVDs in a hotel room.

I'll attempt it again one day ... but not for a while.

Currently I use PCLinuxOS on one partition, Fedora Core 6 and Ubuntu Edgy on the others. All at the same time, too.
