Ezra Levant, a Canadian citizen, who published a series of Mohamed cartoons, has been interrogated by the Canadian Human Rights Commission. This is a serious threat to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom in general in Canada. If you have the time I highly recommend viewing all the videos at his site of the actual interrogation. It's a fascinating look at how easily a western liberal society can give up it's freedom for the sake of political correctness and seeking to have the government "enforce" what it perceives to be the "correct enlightened liberal views" on it's citizens.

It is a shame that most evangelistic liberals are afraid of the truth. PC is what got Hitler so much power. It is a shame everyone can not see this now. What ever happened to "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." This is one of the early statements that we were taught in school. It scares me if the democrats were to have the power the government (a democratic president) now has over privacy non-rights. I hope that Mr. Bush goes back on these policies before he leaves office. What also bothers me is that the media is glazing over the alleged financial fiascos in Arkansas. If it were a republican who was a part of that, they would be all over it. It is also mysterious that so many people have died that had real knowledge of what happened in Arkansas. Almost as bad as the loss of people who perished from the days of the grassy knoll. WE DO NOT HAVE A FREE PRESS.

We've had these in the US for a long time. For example, if someone says that you should work hard or bear some personal responsibility for your actions or if someone says that you are not entitled to a job that pays $50K/yr, then that's called hate speech.

Even criminals are subject to this, well some are. They're called "hate crime" laws. If you harm someone who belongs to a protected class, the only reason you did it is because you hate them because they are part of that group. No other reasons are possible. However, if you kill a cop, you can become a popular commencement speaker.
