A Swedish court on Friday found the four defendants in the high-profile Pirate Bay case guilty, sentencing them to a year in jail. The defendants were also ordered to pay $3,6 million in damages to copyright holders, among them several American media giants. This according to Swedish media.

I'm not surprised. I always figured the US and the WTO would get what it wanted in this case.

Will be interesting to follow this as it gets appealed. If I was a witness or whatever, I'd put a laptop before the judge and have him go to Google and search for something like: spider man 3 torrent

But of course Google ain't gonna get dragged to court over that, nor are they gonna get censored, oh no! Only the common man gets dragged into a court room, the big corporate bastards are always gonna receive more justice.

A great revolution no matter how peaceful will always have it's casualties because of the hostilities of the status quo, and hey if I know these Swedes, they'll just take the one year in prison like was it a vacation or giant joke or something, and then when they get released they're gonna be like British troops marching into Norway in May 1945, greeted by a crowd.
