eeepc question

On the eeepc, is the os in firmware or on the hard drive? If the os is on the hard drive, how much usable space do you really have?

The os is on the flash drive and so is the restore. When I first got mine the whole thing was taking up less than 20% of the drive I believe.

Thanx for the quick reply, I assume on a 4g drive that is about 800 meg.

I've two. One still has the default and is about 2.4 GB used of 3.7 - with 1.2 free, or 32%. Thats with nearly nothing extra but some configuration changes. My second has eeeXubuntu 3.0GB used of 3.7GB and that leaves 520 MB free, or 14%. eeeXubuntu has a pile of customized stuff - used it a lot since installing it (upgraded the memory on this second machine to 2 GB as well).

While in an unnamed country, It would be interesting to see if the zandros images worked on another system.
