Ohio LinuxFest Meetup again?
Are we meeting up again at a local pub like we did last year on the Friday before?
Quoted from the email I just received from the Ohiolinuxfest folks.
Thanks for signing up for the Ohio LinuxFest 2007. We're really looking
forward
to this year's LinuxFest. We thought we'd let you know what's in store.
Bradley Kuhn, Jon 'maddog' Hall and Max Spevack are just a few of the
speakers
that will be on-hand to talk about Linux, open source, and Free
Software. We
have a full day of exciting, community oriented, presentations for
everyone
who's interested in learning more about Linux and open source.
Of course, all work and no play makes for dull geeks. Drew Curtis, of
FARK
[http://fark.com], and the Linux Link Tech Show [http://www.tllts.org]
will
host a conference kick-off/FARK party on Friday, September 28th (6pm
till
whenever) at Barley's Brewing Company [http://www.barleysbrewing.com],
just
across the street from the convention center.
So It looks like that's a yes.

I finally got around to registering for OLF today (for the shwanky All Conference Pass).
I can't get up to Columbus Friday night because I'm too cheap to pay for a hotel room. Is anyone planning on staying for the after party on the 29th (Saturday)? Since Google is sponsoring it this year it looks like it might be pretty big.

first time OLF visit
This will be my first time attending any Linux conferences, I am very interested in meeting up with everyone. Hopefully having a few beers after the show on Saturday and enjoying the great company.

Re: first time OLF visit
You'll enjoy it. It's been a great conference the last 2 years, and it looks like this one is bigger and better than ever.tmbigrigg wrote:This will be my first time attending any Linux conferences.
