I also submitted to Slashdot and OSNews. Hopefully this gets picked up. It was a pretty interesting interview plus Pat V. normally does not give a lot of interviews.

Phenomenal show last night. Definitely my favorite show. I'm a huge Slackware fan, so that was very very cool.

Thank you!

Woot! I just checked Digg, and it's the 2nd story on the main page with 77 diggs. Hopefully you guys get a whole bunch of downloads, I think there's probably a ton of Slackers out there who haven't heard TLLTS before.

We're over 100 diggs! This along with my post on LQ will give us a few more hits this week:

FYI, Nigel Tufnel along with hackmeister are my online handles.

Thanks a lot, guys!! My mirror is now officially getting raped for bandwidth! :D

Episode 161 (the Cory Doctorow show) did nearly 1000 downloads, but this one looks like it'll blow it away. I've done over 20 gigs of traffic since the release!

Servers are still holding up, though, and I'm still well under my bandwidth quota! :)

Good thing the month is almost over as you'll probably get nailed again next week.

As of today I've done around 1400 downloads. Looks like it's definitely going to be a record breaker!

This one might have some legs. It got mentioned in this weeks Distrowatch Weekly. I also submitted them as stories to Lxer and Desktop Linux. It's a good chance they will get posted there as well. I'd like to hear from our other mirrors regarding the download stats. Historically we get the most downloads right after a new episode comes out (Thursday & Friday) and again before the next show (Tuesday and Wednesday).

No doubt. The coolest yet.

Imaginary conversation between me and friend in Pat's hometown in Minn. follows

Me: So, what;s up?
Him: Not much. Had our holiday parade today.
Me: Yeah, we had ours last week. Firetrucks, farm animals and what-not.
Him: Yeah, Patrick Volkerding drove his rag-top Firebird in ours.
Me: .........my life sucks.
Him: Yes.....yes it does.

end

The man is a god among geeks! Not to mention the banjo or the home brew!
I wonder if Patrick has ever considered politics?

Posted as stories Lxer and Desktop Linux:

Get ready for some more downloads. I will probably do the same for this weeks guest (another big name in the F/OSS world).
