Maybe this is old news but Ron Frazier got blu-ray capability setup on his MythTV

i am afraid of blueray. i figure that as soon as someone gets it working on linux, sony will "update" it and screw us over. i try to stay away from any DRM hardware... except HDMI, but i'm not married to that either.

i have to agree w/ lobo -- hardwired DRM devices are a thing to steer clear from .... just wondering how much more of these types of devices we will see in the future -- firmware being updated remotely ....
