Re: Are Ron Paul supporters the most annoying nutbags ever?!?!

Ron Paul is done anyway. He placed 5th with only 8% in one of the most libertarian states in the country. If he can't win New Hampshire, he doesn't stand a chance in rest of the primaries. Not to mention he's way too fringe for the majority of the American people. This country wants universal healt...

Re: Are Ron Paul supporters the most annoying nutbags ever?!?!

Oh and along the lines of ever expanding government. Obama coming out and saying he wants to expand government is a bit more honest than all the other who say the opposite but when they get in they do expand, expand, expand, tax, tax, tax, spend, spend, spend. At least there would be no let down as ...

Re: Are Ron Paul supporters the most annoying nutbags ever?!?!

I agree with you, the Republican and Democratic "top-tier" candidates all make me shudder. Obama could prove himself to be different and principled, though his principles are exactly those I don't want in government, after all he wants to expand government, and his rhetoric sounds very much like he...

Re: Are Ron Paul supporters the most annoying nutbags ever?!?!

Pat, I'm a Ron Paul supporter and I agree with you. I think that without question he has his finger on the pulse of the real problems with this country and the direction it is sending us (devalued dollar, war, federal beurocracy, the IRS, etc.). So no matter how many kooks he has in his camp, by far...

Re: The Free Market: A False Idol After All?

I'll just throw in that our current mortgage/lending practices are NOT free market economics. As alluded to by another poster, government reguation played the biggest hand in this. The government requires lenders to lend to nearly anyone, by having FHA, VA, HUD, programs where the minimum requiremen...

Re: For SCO the end is nigh - DELISTED!

That is the single greatest thing that I can say I love the most about FOSS. It's ability to run so well on such meager hardware. It never ceases to amaze me that hardware 10+ years old still runs just as good or better than most hardware only a year old.

Re: For SCO the end is nigh - DELISTED!

No doubt. I know for a fact the OpenBSD does equally well if not a more superior job, but I was singling out SCO because of the post topic thats all.

Re: For SCO the end is nigh - DELISTED!

I hope that whatever/whoever eventually buys SCO (cause that is most likely) they will continue to make such a great product. Seriously, aside from all the political stuff, they make a hellofa solid, light weight, UNIX. I've worked on POS systems that run OpenServer on as little as 64MB RAM, that ru...

The next generation Open Platform

I just had a peek at http://code.google.com/android/ and I have to say that Google is going to blow the doors off of Verizon and ATT. The possibilities are endless. Have a look at some of the great demos.

Re: Belief in God(s)?

I'll leave it at that as I don't want to debate the issue as much as see how others think on it as well. To each his own.

Along the same topic, has anyone seen this http://www.thechurchofgoogle.org/ I got a chuckle out of it.

Re: Belief in God(s)?

Interesting topic. I was Christian but now I am a Diest. I find that Religion is the greatest enemy of man and is the root cause of so much turmoil in the world. Note that I say Religion and not Faith, as Religion is an imposed , singular, belief system, i.e. Islam & Christianity. I had my falling o...

Pat that is so cool that you are having Mark on. IMO I think he is a great mix of Linus and RMS, with Redond Bill's pockets. I can't wait to hear the interview.
