WPF vs. Flash ?

Hi Everyone,

I have a quick question. Will the deployment of WPF (http://wpf.netfx3.com/) force Flash to go Open Source? - OR - Will Flash ever go Open Source?

Any thoughts/opinions welcome.

Thanks

See, those quote and edit buttons just don't work. They stand out too much (sticking with the red color was probably a bad choice), and the placement feels awkward. This is where my lack of design knowledge is most likely hurting me. :? I disagree, I like the quote and edit buttons. Being the same ...

Ya true but it just depends how fussy you are at retaining "The Look" of your page. Your audience is techy so it might not matter that much, as most will not be using IE. I might be temtped to leave it too but a friend of mine is a graphic artist and he is so fussy that when he creates something he ...

I love the look! It is clean and easy to read. Good job. Now as far as the making it work with Internet Exploder, I have to vote yes, it needs to work with IE. They still own 90% of the market share (unfortunately). That is a very large audience that will see your creation as broke. just my 2 cents ...

Now this might be a stupid question but since wireless G routers are so cheap right now why not use just buy another wireless router instead of a switch? That way you get the wireless signal to the main floor and 4 wired ports for your MythTv box.

Graphics Card Advice

I have a quick question in regards to graphic cards. Which graphics card works better with Linux - ATI or Nvidia? I want painless 3D support, really all I want to do is run Google Earth.

Any advice/help is appreciated.

A good notebook backpack

I use a Swissgear backpack from Wenger. I love it. My Dell Inspiron 600M fits perfect. I wish I could find the exact link to this product but my wife bought it at Costco.

The closest LUG is Windsor or London which are both 1hr away but i may go to meet some people and spread the word there first. I never thought about the college people leaving but that makes sense. I may also put up a flyer in the library. One concern I have is that the city is only 40,000 people (f...
