DeVeDe is a program that allows you to create a video DVD from an MPEG, AVI, MOV... video file, suitable for home DVD players. DeVeDe uses Mplayer, Mencoder and DVDAuthor, so you can use any video playable with Mplayer.
it only crashes on Suzi, actually that might not be true, never mind.

Gmail uses a different port # for pop3, there are instructions at Gmail. They will send copys of your mail to another account if that doesn't work for you.

The article does reaise some questions that we talked before as if Ubuntu is really ready for the desktop being a distro that doesnt include some of the key software for good browsing experience on the net (Flash, Java etc).
These are always available for Ubuntu.

The hardware requirements for Vista are going to piss alot of people off especialy if they have a recent pc. Either a good opportunity to get them to switch to Linux or to put alot of good cheap hardware on the market.

After several versions, someone ought to fix that or make it ajustable. It's not that important though. The one in the terminal works. So does the one on the wall.

I would tell a windows user to use Ubuntu. My vast experience with linux has been borking three Red Hat systems to the point of being unusable and then getting Ubuntu.
