Sync Android to MythTV UserJob result directory
I've got a UserJob much like the Android compatible jobs on this forum running on a few recordings. I have my podcast app for Android but it does not do video. I don't mind using a file browser on the android to start playing the files. I would prefer to sync via wifi if possible. Maybe something si...

Power Button Stuck on M-350 Case
I love the M-350 case and it seems to be a popular choice in this forum. Has anyone experienced the plastic power button getting stuck/jammed in the depressed position? The only way I can get it unstuck is to take off the top cover and then remove the front panel.

Re: Mythtv diskless karmic.
I followed the guide in the link with a few tweaks/clarifications. I was finally able to get this up and running. I first tried to use my router(Linksys WRT54G running Tomato 1.25) as the DHCP server and my backend(jarule) as the ltsp. I could not get the router to redirect to my backend server. I d...

Re: last episodes question about getting the show in mp3
The Listen app just added Google Reader management in the last 2 weeks and is a fantastic addition. I initially used Google Listen when I was attempting to purge the iPod from my life; I can say I have successfully done so after buying the DROID. However, like Pat here I initially found Listen to be...

Re: Hybrid htpc.
For my first MythTV build, I obtained some some old parts from a friend. I gutted an old stereo receiver my dad picked up from a yard sale. I was surprised that I was able to fit an entire PC in that thing. I stuffed a full 500W PS, 2x3.5" hard drives, 5.25" DVD drive, A MicroATX board with 5 PCI sl...

Re: Not a big fan
Running Hulu desktop full screen it looks like ~46C with the stock fan at 7V. Stupid mobo said 0 RPMs. My guess would be around 2400? It was significantly quieter(little hum at ~2ft with cover of the case off, can't hear it across the room ~6ft) but seems to be sufficient to cool the CPU/GPU. I thin...

Re: Not a big fan
I feel exactly the same way and very similar same results. 67 would be OK for me but 70+ is over my threshold. I believe the shutdown threshold is ~95C. I wouldn't recommend it and am looking into a better fan. If you can fit a 60mm fan, 25mm in height, I recommend http://www.silenx.com/ixtremaprofa...

Re: Fedora frontend and Pulse audio
I had sound issue the other week. MythTV worked fine but everything else didn't output any sound(Boxee, Hulu, Totem/Rhythmbox, mplayer). I ended up uninstalling pulseaudio* and things seemed to work again. I wonder if this solution would have worked for me.

Re: Wall mount for MythFrontend PC + TV
Update: I emailed them about the mount and it the only difference is the width between two mounts as I suspected. So the M350 should fit just fine.

Re: any type of series catch up feature ?
Just found this.
MythSExx
I may end up trying it out myself.
Edit: I just noticed the SExx part...I wonder if that was on purpose.

Wall mount for MythFrontend PC + TV
I've been looking into the M350 case that Patrick has for ION box. I want to mount both the TV and PC on a single mount. I found this. http://www.cappuccinopc.com/solutions/options/dual-vesa.asp?mountid=1 But the descriptions specify their own cases/PCs that the mounts are compatible with. All their...

Re: XBMC
I've played around a bit on the Ion box and it looks real nice. It's suppose to work with Myth. I tried setting it up and I can see my recordings listed but it does play when selecting a recording. When I upgrade to 0.22 I may switch my Myth install to diskless instead of the usb thumbdrive I curre...

Re: Upcoming HDHomeRun with cable card support in the pipeline
Probably 500USD+. I remember listening to a podcast and them talking about CableCard tuners being 600+ for a single tuner, however that may have be due in part to the licensing, thus a very low rate of adoption among other reasons. The article quotes SageTV creating a plugin for CableCard and SageTV...

Re: Upgrade advice
if you are using dvi to hdmi , you will not get any audio out of the dvi. you still need a separate audio out/in. 99% of the time that it true. I just found out that a few card manufacturers like Sapphire include a special DVI-HDMI adapter that allows audio as well. I guess you need the adapter and...
