I never really even used virtual desktops before I had XGL/AIGLX I hear alot of people say it's all eyecandy and they would never even use it. I do find alot of it usefull and I enjoy using my ...

Re: Ready to switch to Microsoft Firefox?
Microsoft Firefox I'm especially impressed with their implementation of RSS: RSS (Real Simple Sex) RSS is a relatively new algorithmic technology fueled by the continued hot desires of many online web users. Accessed by an illuminating an icon on the toolbar - a single click allows you to view and ...

Thanks. The windows key(super) works when I use your profile but I can't seem to find which setting in which plugin controls it. I don't see anything called window tile. Can you tell me which setting in beryl settings manager affects the window tile? I tried going through the settings manager and t...

How do you move the cube freestyle where you can keep it on the screen in mid turn and also see the top or bottom? What is that thing called where you sort of minimize all the windows to thumbnails and can pick a window? I have this happen from time to time but I never know what I did to make it ha...

Where did you get 0.1.2 or did you compile it? I could not find 0.1.2 packaged.

Everyone is aware that you can achieve a similar menu set-up with plain ol' KDE 3.x and Konqueror with the use of "View Profiles"... In this screenshot I have two instances of Konqueror running for demonstration purposes. http://www.virtualsky.net/blogpics/custom-menus-screenshot-small.jpg In fact,...

So Unique, you gonna try SLED 10? Has other benefits than just that GNOME menu you know, not that Ubuntu doesn't have it's by any means. If you see my last screenshot I am running SLED 10. I signed up with novell to get updates and have used packman's repo for all the goodies. It has been on my lap...

It looks pretty nice. Do you find it functional? Also where could one get that mplayer skin? At first I didn't like it. Now I love it! It's fresh, clean and I prefer it over the standard Gnome menu. I like being able to add programs to the "Favorite Applications" screen. I also like that Beagle is ...

Dapper with 2.6.17 Kernel!
I love Ubuntu but for some reason on my laptop breezy and dapper would give me a kernel panic while trying to install. I would have to add acpi=off to the menu.lst in grub to get it to load. My main problem is that by doing that I would loose the battery gnome-power-manager. It just would not functi...
