Re: Podcast Sound Quality
Wouldn't you have to do this over and over for every different type of background noise? For instance, if you isolate the sound of someone typing, that wouldn't remove the sound of someone yelling in the background, or fan noise. You'd need to do it for every noise. That would at least require liste...

Re: Get your wallpapers into Fedora 14!
You got this one in 1280x1024?
I could put a Fedora 14 logo on there. We could campaign to get this release code-name "Sniffer." I think it could work.

Re: Get your wallpapers into Fedora 14!
So you're thinking a widescreen image of Linc's head GIMPed onto a dog's body wearing women's underwear would be a good F 14 wallpaper.
I shudder to think what results you'll get from here.

Re: Error message... Is this Important?
It wouldn't do any good. The browser still would give an error as it only trusts certs from certain sites.eddie wrote:No, that is not what I meant at all. Tllts should become like a "Verisign" for other sites.
Getting on that list of cert authorities isn't a simple task.

Re: Error message... Is this Important?
There's really no reason to have a paid cert. It's not like we're giving the show money through PHPBB, or submitting sensitive information. If you believe Dann is who he says he is, you should trust his certificate. It's as simple as that. Firefox just sees that the certificate doesn't come from a t...

Re: Get Alan "Allan" Metzger off of the show!
I'm flattered that someone would mistake me for Allan.
Guess I haven't been around here much the last year so most people probably don't know me.
I'm mostly harmless.

Re: Episode 357 but there is no audio after 22:24
Got new files on my mirror a day or 2 ago. Sorry I wan't more on the ball.
I knew there was reason I used to listen to TLLTS as soon as I got it rather than when I got around to it.

Get Alan "Allan" Metzger off of the show!
Is it me, or is this guy bringing the show down? All Alan Metzger ever does is talk about cigars, on and on, which is boring. Who cares about that? I realize back in the wrestling table days he brought the mixer so you guys could have a show, but "what have you done for me lately?" Maybe if "Allan" ...

Google + Verizon = Android phones on Verizon
Hey, I just heard that Google and Verizon are going to partner to put android phones on Verizon. I'm due for an upgrade on my Verizon phone in a few moths. Does this mean I can play with the cool gadgets like the rest of you folks? :D I haven't really cared, but if I can get an android phone without...

Re: A couple more OLF talks - Dann and Jorge Castro
I'll look into it. I haven't checked the OhioLinux forums lately. I'd be glad to offer up the original WAV file. I'll check later today.

Re: A couple more OLF talks - Dann and Jorge Castro
Actually it looks like the talks have been posted on archive.org here: http://www.archive.org/details/OhioLinuxfest2009. They don't seem to have Jorge's talk, though. (Yet)

A couple more OLF talks - Dann and Jorge Castro
I put up a couple more OLF talks I recorded. Unfortunately I only got about 8 minutes of Dann's talk, but if you're just dying to hear it before OLF releases their version you're welcome to it. The only other talk I recorded was Jorge Castro's and I managed to get most of it. The blog post with link...

OLF 2009 "Podcasters Unite!" audio
I managed to get some audio of some of the talks at OLF this year. I've edited and posted the first one, which is from the Podcasters Unite! talk on Friday. It's pretty short, but it gives you a feel for how things went. Randy's wedding happened later so I didn't record that. Link for the post is he...

Re: Slackware 13.0 released, features 64-bit support
Finally got around to doing a Slackware 13 install (on a 64 bit system). Went OK, but I couldn't get it to boot. The only thing unusual I did was not install Lilo because I already use GRUB. I played around with it and couldn't get it to work, but I could get my install to boot from the install CD. ...
