I'd like to kvetch about IE(8 and ?) and HTML5, but that'll take all
of about 10 seconds. Mostly, I think W3C is going the wrong way by
entertaining HTML5 instead of pushing (fixing?) XHTML2, but that's
a convo that has been had before.

Sure! I'm curious how the emerging and recent technologies like Flex,
Adobe AIR and etc. fit into the whole scheme of things and this would
be a great opportunity to establish (or restate?) our platform, from
whence we can better evaluate the good, bad, and ugly in all this new
tech that is being pushed our way. We might even touch on the pros and
cons of XHTML as text/xhtml versus application/xhtml and whether we
really care about IE outside of business edicts...
