[Wsuug] Interesting nav

I'm not in a flowery mood this morning, so please forgive me. It
bothers me simply because I think they did it just to seem
different. Perhaps it is my mood, but it actually annoys me and
complete distracts me because I'm now stuck on the "I get it. You're
artsy. Let's be a bit more creative, shall we? Perhaps do something
that is more functional and compliments your purpose to wow me with
your original ideas."

Now I feel like a meanie.

Yeah, I’m not a big fan of the implementation either. It could be
useful, but it appears as though they let the design of the
navigation dictate the layout of that entire column. Plus, the
aesthetics of the navigation have nothing to do with the rest of the
site, apart from colour. The direction of the sub nav doesn’t bother
me too much, but I have to agree with Jason that it is odd to see
this on an English language site.
