Yeah, I¹m not a big fan of the implementation either. It could be useful,
but it appears as though they let the design of the navigation dictate the
layout of that entire column. Plus, the aesthetics of the navigation have
nothing to do with the rest of the site, apart from colour. The direction of
the sub nav doesn¹t bother me too much, but I have to agree with Jason that
it is odd to see this on an English language site.
