My apologies if you all get this mail twice but I am not entirely sure the
first one went through and I am desperate...

OK, everyone in the LUG knows that I collect computers, well my collection
has reached critical mass and I absolutely HAVE to get some of these
systems
in the hands of people like yourselves that might actually enjoy using
them.
Below you'll find a list of *surplus* equipt needing a loving and geeky
home.
These items are *FREE* but I don't deliver - you'll have to come and get
'em
(I'm only in Easton). The other thing is I want these gone -yesterday-,
so
coming to pick something up even tonight is not out of the question, in
fact,
 please do.

6 DecStation 3100'ds (need ram and scsi hdd - run NetBSD great - I use 4
 myself)

Sun SparcStation IPC (has ram, needs drive and new NVRam<$10-$15 part>
also
 has extra Framebuffer <cg3?>)

Macintosh Quadra 950 (has ram and hdd<small> ethernet, video, runs well,
I'll
 throw in a mac monitor)

Macintosh LCII (some ram, needs a hdd, runs)

Hewlett Packard 9000/730 (has ram, needs a hdd and fan replaced, runs
HP/UX
10.20 or Debian has Linux port<that I haven't tried yet but saw working
great
 at the Linux expo>)

DecStation 9000/200 (needs ram and scsi hdd - I love these things - they
make
 *awsome* servers, will run NetBSD)

2 MicroVax 2000'ds (these both have ram and one has the expansion mod as
well. They'll run NetBSD or VMS, both have ethernet - these are the
 "lunchbox" sized Vaxen)

Generic 486 dx4/100 (needs ram and hdd - works)

2 or 3 svga monitors (work) + 1 VGA (works)

Digital Multia (alpha processor, should work - I haven't messed with it,
needs ram and hdd for sure)

Sun 386i (This thing is a beast and a *real/Genuine* collectors item that
I
just don't have the time to give it. It works, it has the expansion cab
w/tape drive, I have the *original and still functioning install media*,
comes with KB, Mouse, AND the elusive monitor and impossible to find
cables.
There is only 1 thing wrong with this system and that is it needs a new
or
repaired nvram. Note that the bad nvram does not hinder you from playing
with unix on this thing, only causes probs with the ethernet connection)

3 DecStation Personal Decstation 25's (need ram and scsi hdd, these are
neat
little machines and they even have <limited> sound capabilities. I run 2
myself using NetBSD which works great.)

2 MicroVax III's and a Microvax II (Here is your chance to become a real
geek
(I run 4). A Vax computer is something every geek should have. These
are
functioning systems and have memory and ethernet but no disk. They will
run
NetBSD (netboot them), there is a Linux port being developed. These are
cool
machines and they are BIG machines. Come and Get'em and bring a
handtruck.
Seriously these are really fun machines to tinker with, they can run
usefull
and current unix software and you can impress your friends by having a
coffee
table that has ethernet hanging out the back!)

I have several external full height scsi drives (I think they all may
work)

1 backpack cdrom drive without cdrom or cable (just put in a standard ide
cdrom drive and you can but the cable from most PC stores and the
software is
 freely downloadable on the web)

1 IOmega Tape drive (quick 2, all software, and cables included)

2 huge, gargantuan external scsi enclosures (These are big and I mean
it.
You can put I think 8 or 10 full height 5.25" scsi devices in
these. These
 are most cool.)

 Compaq Prolinea 4/50 (50mhz 486 w ram and hdd<small>, also inc ethernet,
 monitor, maybe kb/mouse?)

There is probably more but that's a good start. Please let me know if
you
would like take any of this AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE :-)
