The LVCG Linux SIG meeting will be held this Monday April 23 at the Whitehall
Public Library at 6:30. The topic will be Window Managers.

In the Linux world we can choose the graphical interface we wish to use based
upon the speed of the computer and the functionality required. Most
distributions use Gnome or KDE windowing environments by default. These are
visually appealing, easily configurable, and powerful. The downside is they
require a fair amount of resources.

Many Window Managers are available that run very nicely on computers with
slower processors and less memory. Some of these are WindowMaker, FVWM2,
IceWM, and XFce.

At Monday's meeting we will take a look at these, learn where to get them,
how to install, configure, and use them. Find out how you can bring that
Pentium 100 to life!

A general Q+A session will start promptly at 6:30.

The LVCG Linux SIG is intended to teach those new to Linux the basics.
Everyone is invited, bring your friends.
