The guy showed up basically unharmed and claims he has no memory of what
happened during the week he was gone. I can think of several possibilities
(none of them good):
- he went on a bender and was trashed the whole time
- he has a girlfriend on the side
- he was abducted by aliens and had his orifices probed
- he was cooking meth in the woods (ala Breaking Bad)and needed a cover story

At least the guy is alive and his kids still have a daddy.
