Sounds like you have an idea of what you want. "Where schedules can
be edited" is a little vague. Many calendaring projects already
exist. No need to re-invent the wheel if you don't have to. I would
start by looking at CalDAV. This way, you can get lightning/sunbird,
apple ical, or whatever CalDAV compliant client you prefer and have
the choice of editing schedules from the website or from the desktop.
