[Lvlug] O'Reilly discount, e-mail problems

First, I saw this on the website:

How does this work, exactly? I saw (and used) the Make Magazine link,  
but what do you have to do for other stuff?

Second, I'm still not getting mail from this mailing list. I see my  
test messages in the archives, so I know my mail's getting to  
Pipermail, but I'm getting nothing back.

  I've tried changing my address (in case it was getting blocked by  
gmail), but I haven't even gotten the confirmation message at my  
Verizon address. I'll try subscribing from my danscamera.com address  
on Monday when I can tail the postfix log and see exactly what's  
going on. In the meantime, is there any possibility that there's  
something funny happening on the other end? Or have I been "shunned"  
for using Mac OS on the desktop?
