[Lvlug] Want to get on TV anyone?

I'm currently in contact with an individual who fought & obtained air
time on a cable TV station for a public interest style show. He too is
interested in the technical problems and hurdles we all face, and as
such I'm talking to him about possibly doing an appearance at some
point. Preferably I'd like to see if I can get others involved from the
LUG though. We would likely talk about things like DRM, open source,
open formats, GNU/Linux etc. This is an excellent opportunity for the
group to expand interest in Linux.
The show is aired on channel 8 at midnight and covers issues of
corruption, taxes, lawsuits, etc. Anything of public interest basically.
He does allot of what main stream media doesn't. I'm not yet sure how
far the reach is exactly but it airs on an Patriot Media station that
serves all Patriot Media cable TV customers, and I'm about 45 minuets
from the location where it starts and Patriot Media covers 31 NJ
communities. So it is apparently pretty wide. This is out of Mendham, NJ
which is about an hour and a half from Allentown.
I don't know much of anything about how we would get on the show, but I
think it would happen something like this. We'd arrange a time & date to
drive out to Mendham, NJ. The show would then get recorded and it would
be passed on to the Patriot Media guys to get aired at a midnight.
If anybody even thinks they might be interested let me know and I'll
start CC'ing emails to people.
