[Lvlug] can anybody give me a hint for a routing table question?

It sounds like it might be DHCP-related, though I wonder how a DHCP
lease influences one's route to another, separate network. Perhaps your
DHCP client is misconfiguring something.
Does the the Westell use DHCP and can you find out the period between
leases? Because if it's four hours, then that might be the source of the
problem. And if you do use DHCP on the server, what client is it? For
example, pump.
When your network connection poops on itself, is there anything of note
in /var/log/messages?
