[Lvlug] Linux and External Modems

I appreciate the offer but I'm after a 56K speed unit; I keep two primary  
units here, as well as a backup but want to "convert" one of the primary  
machines to Linux only. It's supposedly just as good or better than  
Windoze driven modems; safety wise when one is on the Internet.
