[Lvlug] booting RH9

What is the minimun that has to be on the boot drive (/dev/hda?) to start a
RH9 system? Without really thinking about it I'm inclined to believe all I
need is /boot?

The problem is that I have an HP server with a SCSI RAID array with a bad
BIOS. That means I can't boot from the SCSI but with Linux I can still use it
along with the RAID. What I want to do is boot from an IDE drive with just
enough stuff on it to get the SCSI drivers loaded and then run everything
else from there. I've had this working previously but I put everything
except /home on the IDE. With 20 web sites being housed on the server the
IDE gave up the ghost in very short order. The customer still wants to run
the server (don't ask) so figured if I could use the IDE for boot only then
it wouldn't take a beating.
