I've checked the sound mixer settings but still no sound of any type or kind
Will check alsamixer via terminal
Do want to use xmms to play mp3 but have noted with Mandrake v9.1, every so ofter xmms tends to "speed up" / "fast play" some of the mp3 musical pieces;i.e., Kettlebee's "In a Monestary Garden", "In a Persian Market" etc.
