Wholly Unrelated Glorification: Linux kicks ass at swap. I was up to my
balls in swap the other day (about 150-200 MB), running a heavy compile
and I still had smooth output from mplayer despite the lack of an
accelerated driver. As long as you're not playing games, swap seems to
be almost as responsive as RAM!
And then there's Win2k running Firefox on a PII. OUCH
