Thanks for this info., even though I don't consider myself a newbie anymore, I have done a 
lot skipping around, and a structured learning enviornement will help fill in the gaps.

Yes, the Rute book is still available online, the course page has a link to it. What a 
fabulous online resource, reading the table of contents made my eyes glaze over! :) It looks 
like it includes study guides for the LPI 101 and 102 certifications too.
