Absolutely, I agree 100%!  Some of what I didn't go into (the and...) relates 
to how common attitudes like this supplier's are--they have you, they know 
they have you, so they sock it to you (or at least try to).  You did a good 
thing and absolutely the right thing by standing your ground until they did 
ship it to you for free (or some nominal shipping fee).
