[Lvlug] Anybody else having trouble with gmail via pop?

Hmm, I forgot to try pinging--pinging is much better today -- first two pings 
are like 1800 and 1200 ms, then they settle down to steady numbers around 250 
ms.  Maybe that's the difference (but what caused the difference--I guess it 
could have been something on my end).  

Also, seeing 1800 and 1200 ms today, I'm beginning to doubt what I thought I 
saw yesterday, did I really see ping times of 6000 to 12000 (vs. 600 to 
1200)?  Yeah, I'm pretty sure I did, can't remember the 12000's as well, but 
the 6000's were definitely a whole "decimal point" (i.e., order of magnitude) 
bigger than the lower ping times that I occasionally saw.
