well - I did get a Win98 and FC2 box going just tonight without any
trouble with the MBR - I'm guessing you're talkin' the various W2K or XP
with Linux Dual-boot MBR issues which are known to have caused frustration.

I'll forever be a 'Slack man' when it comes to production GNU/Linux, but
I confess - I'm a sucker for checking out the latest distros - as time
allows, I enjoy 'studying' what the latest
RH/Fedora/SuSE/Gentoo/Debian/Vector/Knoppix/Morphix are doing as default
installs/configs (even the install process/interface itself interests
me, as disturbing as that sounds, but hey...;) - I don't think I'm too,
too alone on this - indeed, I cut through a lot of CDRs, but I consider
it 'keeping in touch with the current distro crop' -type research and a
'fun' part of GNU/Linux experimentation. I report as many bugs/quirks as
I can validate back to the respective distro makers, hoping it may help
someone.
