[Lvlug] The Point of Installing LILO on a Partition

...as opposed to MBR. I never quite understood; how does the BIOS know
when to boot from a partition??

This may seem like a dumb question but consider that I have been putting
LILO on the MBR (well, up until a while ago anyways)
