[Lvlug] cable modem - Dumb Question

Hi.
I think I have a good deal for cable modem service from RCN
if I bundle my telephone and cable tv and cable modem
service.

The price for the cable modem service for the bundle would
be $27.00 per month after 90 days.

In the past I always used fastnet dialup and made a ppp
connection with Slackware.

Now the dumb question is RCN told me I need a NIC which I
have and can configure by using the netconfig utility but
does anyone know what else I have to do to make it work?
