At first I wasn't going to say anything about this mini Linux computer but
then I decided it was just way too cool. I just received one today from
http://www.gumstix.com/ and it took about 5 minutes to get hooked up to it
using minicom. It's a 200MHz Arm computer with 64MB RAM, a compact flash
slot (up to 1 GB), two serial com ports and a usb connection for doing
point-to-point networking using the Linux usbnet drivers. This thing is the
sh**!

The reason I wasn't going to say anything at first is because my focus was
completely on hacking the hardware. I am using it for controlling data
aquisition and controller hardware and even though I would only consider
Linux devices I never thought just how cool this thing could be. This
computer has no keyboard, display or mouse but it can run on 3 AA batteries
and server web pages on the net! You gotta see it to believe it.
