[Lvlug] terminal emulator question

Oh great gurus of the LUG, kindly abate the suffering of this lowly 
serial terminal n00bie....

I've got a machine in the building here that the PC weenies connect to 
with a terminal emulator called AccuTerm (everyone else connects with 
an ADDS 4000). The emulation is set for "Pick PC". Does anyone know 
what I can use to connect to this system from the OS/GPL universe? When 
I try to use Terminal.app all sorts of badness happens. Do I just need 
to adjust some settings, or do I need a new client?
