Dann,

I thought of our conversation at the last meeting when I was reading this
article:

http://www.oregonlive.com/news/oregonian/steve_duin/index.ssf?/xml/story.ssf/html_standard.xsl?/base/news/1021982499141752.xml

After learning of your battle with Win98 and the tight budget you are working
with I thought that articles like this might provide some amunition in your
fight for open sourcing your school.

I understand that your school has made the inflexible demand for Front Page
compatibility but by showing that they are literally paying hundreds of
thousands of dollars for that "right" might just be enough incentive to get
them to drop it.

By following up on some of the references in this article you may find
further ammo for your arguments. I understand you can't just go to your boss
and have the entire school district policy change but you can drop these
articles in public areas for him/her to discover.
