[Lvlug] No Internet Connection During Meetings

At two of the last three meetings, I managed to boot from the Slackware
Live CD, but could not connect to the Internet.

(At the third meeting, I could not even boot from the Slackware Live CD,
but since it only happened at the one meeting, I regard it as a fluke.)

When we met in the other room, I had no problem booting from the
Slackware Live CD and connecting to the Internet (that is, after I had a
Slackware Live CD and knew how to do it).

Anybody doing any better, and know the trick?  The instructions that
I've been following, and worked for me in the other meeting room, are
