I doubt it.  Then again, it depends how far back you go and what the
problem is.

That's surprising.  I would have thought the differences between x.0 and
x.1 wouldn't be THAT great.

My favorite Linux support company doesn't do that, but they will
strongly suggest that you upgrade if it's feasible to do so. Then again,
they might not want  to touch a 0.9 kernel or Red Hat 4.1.
