[Lvlug] Linux support

This is probably best directed at Faber, but I was wondering if companies
like RedHat and Mandrake discontinue support for older version of their
software.  That is, can you still get support for Redhat 6.2?  

We are having a very taxing network problem which we have narrowed down to
either the Cisco or Novell equipment.  One of the main problems now is
that Novell will  not even talk to us about the issue because we are
running 5.0, not 5.1 or later, and they have discontinued support for 5.0.
 Not even $150 will sway this.

So, do the Linux support companies do this also?
