My two cents...
The volume of documentation is more than adequate. The organization of
documentation is confusing. The status of the docs vs. current developme=
nt is
by the nature of Linux always somewhat behind. All this together is part=
of
the Linux cultural experience.
That said, it still is just as confusing to get information for an obscur=
e
Windoze script command that's been around for years. I would say that us=
ing
the "inadequate documentation" issue to ding Linux by the business world =
is
just looking for excuses to justify $$$ already spent on Redmond products=
=2E
