My personaly feeling on this issue is that it is indeed inadequate. There
are 3 problems with Linux documentation that I see and they are:
1. Some documentation is too easy (not enough information)
2. Some documentation is too technical/dificult (too much information - hard
to find what you are looking for and not concise enough)
3. (the bigest one) Documentation is out of date. This happens with some
regularity that the documentation you find is not current and therefor
lacking the correct/appropriate information.

This is not to say that the documentation for any other OS is any better. M$
help files are quite inadequate (if they even exist), the BSD's suffer
extensively from the "out of date" syndrome. SUNOS(Solaris) is dificult to
find. HP/UX is dificult to find. SCO is out of date (but works reasonbly
well since then never change anything anway).

In The Beginning there was nothing, which exploded - Yeah right...

Calculating in binary code is as easy as 01,10,11.
