The latest issue of ;login (the monthly publication of USENIX) has a
nice little article about how to have a successful Linux user's group.
It is a well annotated checklist of some basic do's and don'ts, many
of which would apply to any computer user group.

For those of you who don' know, USENIX (http://www.usenix.org) is the
user's group for Unix people. They also have a sub-group called Sage
(http://www.sage.org) which is the System Administrator's Guild. I
belong to both, and I heartily encourage Unix enthusiast of any flavor
to join.
