[Linux4christians] I need some advice.

Others have given some sound advice -- what you're trying to unlearn is
"religion", not theology.  Jesus said "No man comes to the Father except by
me", and that all of God's law can be condensed into "Love the Lord your
God" and "Love your neighbor".

Everything else is legalism.  If you can (1) accept Christ as your Savior,
(B) love God with all your heart and (5) love your neighbor as you love
yourself, the little things will take care of themselves.  That also
eliminates some behavior that a lot of people who call themselves Christians
like to indulge in -- gossip ("it's not gossip as long as you bring it up as
a  prayer request"), condemnation of the way another person does things,
etc.
