Many, if not all, people are "abused" in some way during their childhood.
All parents are imperfect and the social system within which they grow is
imperfect.

The magnitude of the "abuse" varies, as does the impact - the latter is the
result of multiple variables.

However, we do not excuse the abuser or the murderer or the rapist or
the thief who "learned" that anti-social behavior as a child - why do we
make of homosexuality an "idol" whose cause is an excuse instead of
whose practice is something from which to seek freedom?
